About the function
As a box mechanic, also known as a container mechanic, you are pivotal in the maintenance of containers. You inspect, repair, and maintain them with precision and craftsmanship, ensuring they are in top condition and ready for their next journey. This involves a wide range of tasks, including:
Inspection:
- Visual inspection of the container for damage, wear, and corrosion.
- Checking the operation of doors, locks, hinges, and other mechanical parts.
- Taking measurements to determine the condition of the container.
Maintenance:
- Lubricating and cleaning moving parts.
- Repairing minor damage, such as cracks, holes, and dents.
- Replacing defective parts, such as hinges, locks, and door handles.
- Performing routine checks on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Repair:
- Performing welding tasks.
- Repairing broken or cracked parts.
- Replacing entire panels or walls.
- Working with various tools, such as grinders, welding equipment, and drills.
Other tasks:
- Preparing and maintaining maintenance reports.
- Ordering parts and materials.
- Adhering to safety regulations.
- Working with colleagues as part of a team.

You work full-time in a two-shift system from Monday to Friday (05:45-14:00 / 13:45-22:00).

What do we ask?
Do you want to be part of the team? Here's what we're looking for:
- A technical background is a plus.
- Previous experience as a mechanic is essential.
- Possession of skills in welding, metalworking, and metal cutting is required.
- You are skilled in both independent work and teamwork.
- Physically capable of performing assemblies.
- Obtaining a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) is mandatory (this will be reimbursed by us).
