Are you thinking about working in the Netherlands? Great choice! The Netherlands offers good wages, excellent working conditions, and plenty of opportunities for people from abroad. But before you get started, there are a few things you’ll need to take care of. The good news? Sagius takes care of most of it for you. In this blog, we’ll show you exactly what you need to arrange yourself – and what we’ll handle for you.

🧳 What do you need to arrange yourself?

✅ 1. A valid passport or ID card

To work in the Netherlands, you need a valid identification document – either a passport or an ID card from your home country. Make sure it hasn’t expired.

✅ 2. A BSN (Citizen Service Number)

The BSN is a personal number you need to work, pay taxes, and take out health insurance. Don’t worry – once you arrive in the Netherlands, Sagius will help you apply for it.

✅ 3. Basic knowledge of English or Dutch

You don’t need to speak fluently, but it helps if you understand a few basic words. Many people at work speak English or a bit of Dutch. It’s always nice if you can understand your colleagues. And don’t worry: at Sagius, there’s always someone who speaks your language.
